Los Angeles Updates is an independent website with travel guides, local news and event listings for Los Angeles and the rest of LA County. It puts the practical details in one place: when to visit, where to stay, how to get around and what is on.
What this site is
We publish hub guides for visitors and residents, plus shorter posts when something changes, such as a new Metro line, a trail closure or a festival date.
Each guide links to the official sources we used, so you can check the details yourself before you make plans.
How we work
We check facts against official sources: city, county and state agencies, transit operators, parks and the venues themselves. Los Angeles changes quickly, though. Hours shift, prices change and events move, so please confirm the details with the venue before you head out.
Some posts may carry ads or affiliate links. They help keep the site free to read. They do not decide what we recommend.
